안녕하세요.

 근골격계 질환의 근거위주 진료를 지향하는 “시리악스 정형의학 연구회”에서 성황리에 개최되었던 Donald Neumann 교수의 Kinesiologic and Anatomic Foundations of the Shoulder​ : From Reach to Weight Bearing 세미나가 열립니다.

 Donald A. Neumann 교수는 근골격계의 근육, 관절간의 움직임과 생체 역학적 상호 관계에 관한 오랫동안 연구를 진행 해 왔으며, 이를 통한 통합적인 자료를 토대로 통증에 관한 진단, 평가, 검사, 그리고 치료에 접목시켜 재활에 관한 기초가 된다고 생각하였습니다.

 이번 강의에서는 Shoulder girdle의 운동 역학, 상지의 기본이 되는 구조와 기능을 이해, 그리고 신경학적인 문제 뿐 아니라 병리적인 상태에 대한 평가와 치료적 접근법에 초점을 맞추어 진행됩니다.

 2016년 Kinesiology 3판이 새로 출판됨에 따라 이제까지의 초청 세미나에서 근골격계 질환에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓혀주는 심도있는 강의로 많은 선생님들로부터 격찬을 받을 바 있는 Neumann 박사의 강의를 개최하고자 하오니, 이번 강의 역시 선생님들의 발전을 위한 밑거름이 될 유익한 내용으로 전달되기를 기대합니다.

 이번 세계적인 석학의 초청 세미나에 여러 선생님들이 참여하시여 최신의 치료에 있어 중요한 요점으로 떠오르고 있는 재활의 기본이 되는 강의를 들으실 수 있는 기회이오니 선생님들께서는 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.

강의 개요

After this course, participants shall be able to:

1) Describe the detailed structural and functional relationships of the joints of the shoulder complex.
2) Describe the general structure and function of the elbow and forearm joints.
3) Cite the muscular drive and normal synergies that operate in the healthy shoulder.
4) Describe how the shoulder operates to achieve maximal reach of the upper limb as well as a source of power for weight bearing throughout the upper limb. 
5) Explain the pathokinesiologic mechanics behind several orthopedic and 
neurologic conditions within the proximal and mid-upper extremity.
6) Incorporate kinesiological principles to guide evaluation and treatment strategies  
for neuro-musculoskeletal pathological conditions of the shoulder and mid regions of the extremity.

Dr. Neumann’s clinical background as a physical therapist started at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation  Center, in Virginia, where he concentrated on the rehabilitation of persons following spinal cord injury. After completing his graduate studies, Don joined the faculty at Marquette University in1986, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. Many of Dr. Neumann’s published research articles have been funded by the National Arthritis Foundation. Through funding from the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Don has produced educational videos entitled: Kinesiologic Principles to Enhance the Functional and Movement Potential in Pers

ons with Quadriplegia. Don is the author of Kinesiology of the Musculoskeletal System: Foundations for Rehabilitation, published by Elsevier (2010) and co-author of Essentials of Kinesiology for the Physical Therapist Assistant (Elsevier, 2009). Don is also Associate Editor of the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Since 1988, each July Dr. Neumann directs a four-day human gross anatomy dissection course for a wide range of medical and health professionals. This very popular course, presented on the campus of Marquette University, combines anatomy dissection and lectures on kinesiology
